User guide

Everything you need to prepare a cue sheet, run it live and share it with your crew.

Getting started

  1. Create your account on app.showduktor.com. You get a 7-day Pro trial, no credit card required.
  2. Choose a password of at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.
  3. Open the confirmation email and click the link to verify your address.
  4. Create your first cue sheet from the dashboard (see below).

When the trial ends, your account moves to the free plan. Your cue sheets are kept.

Create a cue sheet

Start from an example

Concert, theatre, gala or festival: a ready-made cue sheet to adapt. Examples appear on the home page until you have a cue sheet.

Import your file

Bring in an existing Excel or CSV cue sheet in seconds. See import.

Blank page

"New cue sheet" button at the top of the dashboard or in the menu.

You can also start from one of your templates: see templates.

Import an Excel or CSV file

  1. Click "Import" on the dashboard.
  2. Drop your file: .xlsx, .xls, .ods or .csv, 2 MB max.
  3. Check the column mapping. Showduktor recognises common headers (#, Title, Sound, Lighting, Video, Duration, Stage, Notes…); adjust them with the lists if needed.
  4. Check the preview, then click "Import".
  • Showduktor Excel and CSV exports can be imported back as they are.
  • Durations are converted to the editor format: "3'30", "0:04:00" or "5 min" become 03:30, 04:00, 05:00.
  • A title above the table is suggested as the cue sheet title.
  • The first 1,000 rows are read. On the free plan, only the first 20 are imported.

The editor

Each row of the cue sheet is one item of the show and gathers the instructions for every department:

  • Item: the title or name of the item.
  • Duration: in mm:ss. The total duration is calculated automatically.
  • Sound: soundtrack or source, and a note.
  • Lighting: cue and note.
  • Video: cue and note.
  • Stage instructions and a general note.
  • Reorder rows by drag and drop, using the handle on the left of each row.
  • Set the event date and type: your next dated show appears on the home page.
  • The cue sheet is saved automatically a few seconds after each change.

Live mode

Live mode is included in the Pro and Team plans.

  • Open the cue sheet and click "Mode Live", then "Start" to start the clock.
  • "Next cue" moves to the next item. By default this is manual: if an item runs over its planned duration, the overrun shows in red until the next cue.
  • The "Auto-advance" switch moves on when an item's planned duration ends. Your choice is remembered on the device.
  • The header shows how far ahead or behind schedule you are and the estimated end time.
  • The "Next" panel shows what to prepare and turns orange 30 seconds before the cue.
  • Click a row in the cue sheet on the right to jump to it.
  • "Reset" sets the clock back to zero after confirmation. Full screen and keeping the screen awake help in the control room.

Share live mode with your crew

  1. In Live mode, click "Share".
  2. Have the crew scan the QR code or send them the link. Each person opens it on a phone or tablet, without an account.
  3. Everyone picks their department (Sound, Lighting, Video, Stage) to see only their instructions.
  • To open a department view directly, add ?poste=son, lumiere, video or plateau at the end of the link.
  • If the connection drops, the page reconnects on its own and warns when the connection is lost.
  • When you leave live mode, the crew sees "Live mode has ended". A share link is valid for 24 hours.

Export

  • From the editor, export the cue sheet to PDF, Excel or CSV.
  • Customise the PDF (logo and layout) in Settings › PDF.
  • The free plan includes 2 exports per month; Pro and Team plans are unlimited.

Templates

  • In the editor, "Save as template" turns a cue sheet into a reusable template.
  • The Templates page lists your templates: create a new cue sheet from one in a click, with its title and date.

Working as a team

Teamwork is included in the Team plan, for up to 5 members.

  • Invite members from the Team page, using the email address of their Showduktor account. The person must already have an account.

  • Member: views the cue sheets shared with the team.
